Well, for the most part, I agree with you Andrew as far as access goes. But, then I have two USB powered hubs and two Firewire hubs as well. I hardly ever have to give my Pismo a "reach around" unless I'm taking it with me out in the field.
It's a notebook. I would presume most people take it outside on daily basis. I know I do and if you ask me, thumbs up for side ports. Couldn't live without them now.
