The only thing better than an illuminated keyboard is not needing one in the first place, because you touch-type...
But chances are if you truly do touch type without having to look at the keys at all, you type Dvorak, which has more "freak factor" than "cool factor", unlike the illuminated keyboard.
I'm not sure why all AlBooks didn't come with that keyboard, since even my 12" had the same keys so it *could* be illuminated...
