That is a good idea but I don't have anything with a DVD burner. One of the drawbacks of being a cyber-luddite... But it does bring up a stupid question: The Lombard in question has a CD/DVD labeled thus:
Macintosh Powerbook G3 Series 2X DVD-ROM Module model number M5505 (MKE #SR-8171)
The stupid question is can I record CDRs on this drive?
I thought I remembered doing so but when I tried it recently the drive didn't show up either in the Apple Disk Burn utility or in Discribe (came with my Sony external CDR).
The Sony burner doesn't show up either so perhaps there's something configured wrong in the OS.
Thanks -- Andrew in Ann Arbor
