Ok but how about dismantling an early G4 1 gig 14" iBook?
Nothing at pbfixit for that machine.
I may need to replace a combo drive.
Looking for instructions AND a source for a raw drive to replace the dead one.

I just used this site ( HTTP://pbfixit.com/Guide ) to replace the upper deck on my wife's iBook. It was a great resource and I was able to perform the operation without mishap.
