I'm not sure but I don't think that any fax you send are kept around. Since they are based on a document you can open, I think they might assumed that there was no need for keeping the fax around. I could be wrong, though, because I think I only faxed once in Panther. You can also do a preview of the fax before sending so you'll be able to see how the cover page look and how the document will look. Remember, the fax capabilities in OS X are more a convenience than a full faxing software.
