After having deleted everything several weeks ago, today was my third attempt to download the software and make it work. I was able to scan some photos, but each scan seemed to do something different in the process. The first scan generated an unopenable document with a blank document icon. The second scan created an icon that said "TIFF" while the third and fourth scan created an icon that was a thumbnail of the photo. The fifth scan began a very long process that I couldn't quit or even force quit. I finally had to pull the battery.
Is anyone having success with Microtek scanners? I LOVED mine when I used OS 9. This scanner has something called Ice, which is a feature for photo restoration. Also, is anyone having wonderful success with their scanner? I really want one with some of the bells and whistles, at least.
Thanks, Claire
