Here is John's input on spills:
After the offending liquid has touched the 'book:
Immediately turn off/unplug the 'book
Remove the battery immediately (liquid corrodes!)
Do not turn the 'book back on to "see if it still works"
Get the 'book to a repair shop ASAP-
He said if the 'book is shipped within 24 hours of the spill-more than
likely it will be 100% repairable.
The longer the wait time, the recovery possibilities decrease dramatically.
Milk is a plastic and soda is corrosive, so....
He has a wonderful machine for cleaning keyboards (much better than my
method of putting keyboards in dishwashing machines!).
A little late for this spill, but maybe helpful to others.
