Actually, I think this is not necessary anymore and at the very least one doesn't have to keep the L2 cache turned off in ordet to run 10.3 on a wallstreet. Many cited problems in the XPF documentation was only around in the Alpha and Beta stages. I recommend to read about user experiences with similar machines in the user forums. Also one should remember that WS I and WS II (PDQ) machines may behave very different with XPF.
It certainly could be unique to my wallstreet, Please try on your machine. but if it does not boot up, remember to try de-selecting this option. Peace.
