Don't worry about it so much. Computers are in a constant state of upgrades. As long as your video card is supported by the software your actually running, then everything is fine. :) The only thing I worry about is file format comapatibility. I really hate the nearly non standard file formats for just about everything and the constant inability to open this versions document verses that version. Apple knows it can't sustain [or burden everyone with] constant 12-18 month upgrades.
