The exact specs are available in the Mac OS X section of the Apple web site, under CoreImage. Roughly, you need an ATI Radeon 9700 or the nVidia equivalent to benefit fully from CoreImage. I have read in the developer documentation that CoreImage might be partially available for less capable video cards.
