- Are there any such Ethernet-connected wireless 802.11b or 802.11g devices available? If so, they might be a practical alternative for iBook owners wishing to go wireless who, possessed of a PowerBook lacking a PCMCIA slot, are facing rising costs for the ever-scarcer original 802.11b AirPort cards.
All the ones I've seen need their own power supply, not too portable. Personally I'd spend the bucks for an Airport card.
BTW, the airport cards I've seen on e-bay are going for $60-80 which is less than they were originally.
