Hi, Friend!
I'm looking to replace the upper case of my iBook 500 dual USB, in order to install another (used) one on which (hopefully) the trackpad is operational.
To use the book, I've been using a mouse for a while.
Incidentally, the iBook is running OS X, and on the Control Panel on which I'd expect to see it, the pane for the Trackpad doesn't appear. I assume that's because inner diagnostics don't show the present trackpad as either being installed, or as being functional. Please correct me if this assumption is wrong.
I'm looking to find either a PDF or a QuickTime movie of the proceedure, starting from when the computer is fully assembled, and, hopefully, with closeups so I can really see where the (correct) screws are, etc. Ideally, I'd like reassembly instructions, as well.
Can you direct me?
Thanks, again, stanton
