After a nasty fall my Lombard seems to have something loose or broken about the port where the ac adapter enters the laptop. More than one yo-yo adapter were tried, each giving the same results- unit will power up only if upward pressure is applied and kept to end of yo-yo adapter where it enters the laptop. I am trying to disassemble to get a better idea of the problem, but can't seem to get the case apart. Is there an online source describing the procedure?
Is there a name for this part? Can it be replaced, or is it part of the main board?
Thanks for any suggestions.

I believe this is fixable with some soldering. I think I have done this type of repair once or twice for Chuck Seahurst (Chuck, are you still on this list ?). If it is the same repair, its actually quite easy.
