I'm not positively sure but based on my previous experience with the
replacement of a PC card cage on an older Wallstreet, if I recall correctly,
the PC card cage was only that, the mechanical aspect. I don't remember that
there was any printed circuit board with it. It was connected to the
motherboard with a special connection, so I would think that if any damage
has been caused it would be to some chips on the motherboard, unfortunately,
and short of replacing the whole motherboard, I'm not sure what you could
do...

Remember that I did this repair a couple of years ago so I could be wrong...
