If you have liquids next to your computer, you will eventually have this type of problem, so don't do it!
It is all so simple! After the fact no one really knows what part of the electronics have been effected so one extent of another, even though they seem to function properly now. I would try to fix it as inexpensively as possible and then dump it before some other issue comes up and then purchase another laptop.
