Yes, OWC should replace it without problem.
Very interesting. Last night I moved the RAM from the lower to the
upper slot and I think it's running better. A few more days of use
should tell. But I think my next step would be to contact OWC
concerning a RAM swap. Thanks for the advice!

I just remembered, these models have had a rash of lower ram slot
failures about 6 months ago. There was a report on the macfixit site.
