the migration assistant in Tiger, and I think also on late versions
of panther, will move all your settings, files, and preferences from
one HD with OSX to another, effectively duplicating your machine....
and since carbon copy cloner and tiger dont play yet, it was a
lifesaver when i sent my machine to texas...
