I haven't upgraded to 10.3.x let alone 10.4.x, but whenever I've seen
this sort of error, I know its time to do a fix permissions on the
startup OS X drive with disk utility. I'd assume that's still the
case, but I could be all wrong ;)

Well Brian, I have Macaroni so Permissions are repaired daily. Even
so I did it manually and it didn't help. Anybody else ?
