I should have mentioned that I run OS 9.2.2 on my Wallstreet. Looks like I would need to use my Powerprint v4.5 serial to parallel cable with the ML-1740.
Has anyone used a powerprint cable with a Samsung lower end black and white laser...? (Circuit City is close by and the current $80 rebate on the Samsung ML-1740 is highly attractive.) If so, can you please tell me the printer driver you selected from the powerprint compatibility list and if you had to make any setting changes for the printer set up. LEM should get 1.5X revenue for those. The Samsung ML-1740 from Circuit City: Anyway- to be clear- that's a rebate deal, but CC has been reliable with rebates, for me. I have not printed to this printer from less than OSX, but it should be OK- it's not postscript, but Samsung GDI, so rendering may be a little slower than a postscript printer. Still likely a good tradeoff compared to inkjet carts. At this time I am supporting 3 of them and they are doing well. HTH.
