I just tried removing the power board and the machine refused to do
 anything.

Since the logic board swap failed, I feel that leaves me with one of
two choices: The sound board or the power board. Which would be the
 most likely suspect?

Well the machine won't run with out the power or sound board, I was
suggesting swapping for a known good one.

The machine is powering up (green light and fan running), so its probably not the sound/AC board.
