At this stage in the life of a Wallstreet (I had one, used it for 4 and a half years and loved it) I'd say it's a bit long in the tooth to be spending a lot on. I'd look seriously at a use PowerBook or iBook of a newer vintage. As for upgrade cards, I've had bad experiences with Sonnet (in clients' Macs), good experience with PowerLogix (in my own Macs), and so-so experiences with NewerTech cards (clients and mine). Your WallStreet is the same model as mine, a 250 MHz with a 13.3 in screen. I loved that thing. Best keyboard I ever typed on. Thousands of hours of use and I made more than $250,000 with it, but it developed the same problem yours has. I've tried a couple of times to get it going again, but it has not been an easy to do so. I've got a completely working one of the same vintage with the slower processor and parts exchanges have not given expected results. I decided that though I really wanted to get it going again I was wasting too much time (and time is money) and getting nowhere. I'll go at it again, but not anytime soon, and I'm not going to spend money on parts for it either. Just not worth it. Unless you're financially destitute, get a newer used PowerBook or iBook. You'll appreciate the performance boost. Especially if you want to run OS X. - web -- G-Books is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
