According to Apple <http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/MACOSX- ReadBeforeYouInstall.pdf> the Lombard, which has USB, is not affected by the 8GB issue; that only applies to the Wall Street models.


I do however, suspect that memory is the issue, though 10.2 is less 'tetchy about memory than later releases.
