Paul,

There are no stupid questions, just questions that failed to be asked. I had looked at XPostFacto before and it states that it is not for the G3 Series PowerBook. Just this morning, I said "what the heck" and I tried using XPostFacto to see if that would help. When i ran it, it indicated a problem with my install (OS 10.2) CD. I then ran Tech Tools Pro and found that there were some bundle bits bad on that CD. It is possible that this has been my problem all along, although I thought that the system verified the install CD before starting installation. I am in the process of obtaining a replacement OS 10.2 install disk. I hope the new disk solves the problem.

I suppose this is a stupid question, but, are you using XPostFacto?

 Have you tried using it?
