Since there's been a fair bit of discussion of Wallstreet upgrades
lately I thought I'd share this with y'all. In following up on Mad
Dog's tip that Daystar/XLR8 will make a G4 upgrade for your WS if asked
(thanks, Tom!), I emailed Daystar yesterday to inquire about costs.
Well, it looks like they've been getting more than a few such inquiries
lately; look at the response I got this morning....
We now have the Wallstreet upgrades up on the web.
The fastest we can get you to is the MAChSpeed G4 466 this is
actually faster then our Lombard upgrades which are a little newer
machine then the Wallstreet.
The cost of the upgrade is $199.00 + shipping this is our cheapest

Hmmm...466 MHz G4 for $199 vs. Wegener Media's 500 MHz G4 for $219.
Sure is good to have more choices than the overpriced offerings from
Sonnet.
