Dear fellow listers,
My 400 MHz Lombard is giving me a headache. With the 64 MB it came with
it ran fine under OS 9; upgrading to OS 10.3 is a nightmare, though.
With its 64 Megs of RAM, installing 10.0 and 10.1 is no problem,
however it's too little for anything over 10.1.
Therefore I purchased both a 128 MB and a low-profile 256 MB RAM chip
(from different manufacturers). However, in whatever configuration
(128, 192, 256, 320 or 384 MB), or in whatever slot, the Lombard
crashes during installation . Sometimes it gets pretty far along the
process, sometimes things go awry almost immediately.
I really don't know what to do next other than asking whether one of
you has a 128 MB or 256 MB chip that has proven to allow installation,
AND is willing to sell it.
