I really like Fetch, for what it's worth.
Like others, I happily used Fetch for many years with no complaints. When I had to download our entire Web site, however, Fetch turned the process a long ordeal (slow, stalled or incomplete downloads).
After some research, I tried RBrowser. The only downside to the free version is that it is a little slow to open and will do FTP only (not Secure FTP, etc.), although for most users this is probably sufficient.
The upside is that it is troublefree, much faster than Fetch (although I'm not sure about current versions of Fetch) and allows simultaneous uploads/downloads.
