Thank you! The G4-800mhz they are selling has 640mb which the specs say is the max for that model. I guess I do "basic stuff" because have never had a machine big/fast enough to do much else, and only recently got high-speed cable and before that, a total bear to even visit ebay at all. The G3-500mhz has 384mb ram and a whopping 55gig HD. Which is all good if the 500mhz would work OK w/Tiger but since that's what he has on it, maybe it works fine. Thanks Gene!
