Eric, thanks a lot, your advice did the trick. You were right, it was my
fooling around with Webwasher that messed up IE5. i went to IE's Prefs as
you suggested and turned off Proxies and now all is well.

However bow you've got me curious about iCab, so I'll go get that next and
give it a try.
