Hello all: I'm finally going to buy a G4 mini-tower, either the single processor 466MHz or whatever might replace it at the July MacWorld. Also, I will buy a 19-inch monitor, maybe a Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 920 or one of the NEC FP or FE units. My wife and I want to see excellent quality up to at least 1600 x 1200 resolution in multiple side-by-side windows. Use is basically text, web browsing, and casual image scanning and tweaking with Photoshop LE or Photoshop Elements. Nothing professional or commercial. The Apple TIL Article 58428 says that all video cards support the 1600 x 1200 resolution up to 85Hz refresh. Most 19" monitors support that resolution and even higher, though perhaps at lower refresh rates. Question: Does the ATI Rage 128 Pro AGP card, standard in the G4/466, work well at 1600 x 1200 with the Mitsubishi and NEC monitors or with other 19" units now priced below $500? The same video card is in some Gibabit Ethernet and AGP Graphics models. Many thanks for all the help and for the valuable information that keeps showing up in this list. -- Al Poulin -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
