Recent discussion of Applescript has reminded me about how angry I really am... OS8.5/8.6 had a neat feature that allowed you to script memory partitions for applications... for example if I wanted to max out Photoshop I had a script in the Apple Menu that allocated as much RAM as I could get away with to Photoshop for editing the occasional monster image.
