This is not good. The G3 will not connect with my 56k modem either. Tried the printer port too, but no luck, trying to locate another cable to try. The 8500 connects with the 56k modem, but not with the ISDN modem. I get either "modem not responding, try turning it off and on", or "doesn't respond to normal initialization, try generic". Choosing generic init doesn't get me anywhere, a couple of vague blinks from the DTE light, then the D and Link goes on and off, a couple of blinks from the TX-RX, then back to "doesn't respond to normal...", and it's over. I have 2 phone lines on the ISDN modem (Eicon Diva) 2 phones and the 56k modem on line 2 and 1 phone on line 1, all seem to work fine.
