This is right Eric. The Multiplier (usually 10x, etc) sets the max speed
that the processor can run at. If you buy a G3 processor that is 10x, you
should have no problems...seeing as the fastest zifs they make right now are
500 mhz. (your beige G3's bus speed is 66mhz. Take that and multiply it by
the multiplier 10x, and you have 660. So with a processor with a 10x
multiplier, you can run a processor at a max of 660mhz...not that that
matters right now.
So in short (that was confusing...) as long as you get a zif with a 9x or
10x multiplier, you'll be fine :oP And you can run that processor at it's
normal speed (maybe a little faster if you overclock it using the processor
speed jumpers on the motherboard)
