Aloha James
I just ordered and received today , one for me and the other
for our son to use at college, an "industrial sized" USB hub. I am
pretty sure it will suit just about anyones needs for USB power....It
is the size of one of the surge protector and power bars. It can
switch between bus power and self power and can supply .5 amps to
each of the 7 ports.
For the $49 or so...it sure beats the pants off the small
cool looking ones that I had before at almost the same price. It
just looks like it is meant to do the job......and the specs are
impressive.
Don't know about USB 2 with it.....

7 port USB hub master.....

Hope this helps...

Steve..

BTW I have nothing to do with this company or product....
