There was an e-mail a couple of days ago asking whether they should upgrade from VPC w/95 to VPC 4 w/Win98 or whether they should buy a Window98 CD and install it. I had used my Win98se copy from my PC to install it on VPC 4 but I just installed VPC 4 that includes Window98se and only installed the Win98 Drive C container. One thing I immediately noticed was that it was faster on my 7300 w/G3 400/1 sonnet upgrade and even faster on my Beige G3 w/466mhz. I'm not sure why this would be so. Perhaps I should have installed an addition of some kind. So it might be advisable to get a copy of VPC 4 w/win98se from this experience. Although, I still could not get KaZaA to work on my Beige G3 466 but did work on my Sonnet. It works great of on my Win95 install. I installed WinMx on the Beige G3 466mhx and that seems to work pretty good. So I don't know what's with KaZaA and why I am having trouble with it. I think KaZaA has the best and friendliest interface out there. A very nice program. Too bad they won't make one for the Mac or someone makes a decent Napster clone. I don't care much for Gnutella. It doesn't appear they will, at least in the near future. It is nice to have VPC. I think it works fairly well, all in all. I imagine it will just get better and better. -- "Macintosh fans may note that cockroaches are far more numerous than humans and that numbers alone do not denote a higher life form." alternate e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] OS 9.1 7300 w/G3 400/1 sonnet card, 272mb RAM Beige G3 Desktop 233 w/Motorola ZIF 466mhz processor, Rev B ROM DIMM, 320mb RAM (which are linked together by a MacSense 4 port DSL router) yamaha 6x4x16 external CDRW -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
