        In my opinion a 2 GB hard drive is not worth the cost of the 
adapter.  In addition, the cheap adapters are prone to problems and 
the high priced adapters cost more than the drive is worth.

        And it has been dropped on the floor? I advise you to use it 
as a doorstop and wait until you can get a larger hard drive.  I have 
been taking 2GB hard drives out of older macs and replacing them with 
larger ones (9GB or more with 5 GB absolute minimum) for a couple of 
years now.
