May not have the same mounting screws, however.

Example: I physically removed the floppy in my Beige G3/300 so I could put a 
hard drive into that position.

I made a cable which extends to the 20-pin header to a 19-pin D-Sub on the 
back of the machine.

Into that 19-pin D-Sub is plugged an ordinary FDHD that I bought decades ago 
with my SE/30.

So, all floppies from the earliest FDHD on are *functionally* the same ... 
although there are several different physical types.
