Dan, I have used the $5.95 service of AOL for years for my email. They give
me 10 hours and if I go over it doesn't amount to that much. They do not
advertise it, and you have to search on AOL, but it is well worth it if you
are not on that much. There are little tricks like saving your email to a
desktop folder first, then signing off and reading it...and composing your
mail offline. It is not convenient, but it is cheap. And there are few
banners.
