Don't know about the quality off the 13" RGB, but the 14" inch seems okay
for your use. You'll get millions of colors on them, with the G3 onboard
video. I have 3 of them around, and they're doing okay, but I've seen a lot
of dead ones recently, guess they're finally wearing out.

With all the pallettes in modern graphic apps, I also find that they're
getting somewhat too small. You'll get nothing more than 640x480 from them.
Personally I'm going for 17"ers for second monitors nowadays.
