Well let's see here.. The only way to really tell whether you've got a Rev 1
or 2 G3 is to look at the chip on the motherboard itself.. People will say
look at the drive brackets and what not, but I have seen Rev 1 G3's with the
newer dual drive bracket as well as the newer Rage 128 card etc... We had
then all over the place at work, and after checking they were all Rev 1's..
I don�t have the URL but over at xr8yourmac.com you can find a nice guide to
determining this.. I'm sure someone will be kind and post the direct link..

As for your cd question, no you cant. The lower bay is the perfect size for
an internal Zip Drive.. I thought about this too since my G3 didn�t come
with a Zip, but nope, my Plextor burner wouldn�t fit without cutting the
assembly apart hehe.. So instead I made a friend give me his unused internal
Zip from his G4.. :)
