The three finger salute doesn't work very well with USB keyboards on any
machine, and soft-power is supported through an Apple 'hack' of the USB
standard (USB is not supposed to support soft-power). Your card won't have
support for the soft-power feature and it'll not be able to do a restart of
a truly frozen machine (no USB keyboard has been able to restart my B&W or
iMac Rev A that way).

BTW How do Windoze USB computers respond to ctrl-alt-delete? Do they do a
reset 100% of the time (of course, I've come across Windoze machines that
wouldn't let old style keyboard do a reset either).
