Hi George,

I have had this model for about 3 years now. It's a 4x12x unit and works
just great. I've used it with a Yosemite, a Performa 5300, an original iMac
(with Formac SCSI port) and various Powerbooks. Nary a problem. I just
recently flashed the firmware, but haven't used it much since then, so I
can't offer much advice on that.
I've used Toast 3.x and 4.1.3, both work fine. I haven't tried iTunes yet.
I paid about $200 for it 3 years ago; the price included an external SCSI
case and cables.
It is a solid unit; whether it's a deal or not I guess depends on the price
you get. Given that I've seen external SCSI Yamaha 16x10x40x CDRWs at around
$140 nowadays, I don't know what the Teac would be worth: $25? Good luck.
