I have a PC66 128mb DIMM running in my BWG3 400 rev2 OS 9.1 and the machine
runs great and fast. Purchased from The Chip Merchant [USA] in Feb 2000. I
didn't ask for a PC66 or 100 or 133 for that matter, just ordered from their
web site a 128mb DIMM suitable for BWG3. Only recently did I check the DIMM
with DIMM First Aid Check and it showed up as PC66. There are small white
stickers on the DIMM proclaimimg it to be PC100 but apparently that DIMM had
been incorrectly programmed to PC100 specs and so only meets PC66 specs.
This is black magic stuff to me so I am unsure if my language is right! I
checked with the author of DIMM First Aid Check. As everythingis Ok and I
have a total of 768mb RAM, I am not concerned.
Just for interest.
