The Umax C-600. There was a thread about this on the SuperMac list because one of the list sponsors was unloading them for $25 each "new" (unused in box). I think they are 603e/240, they have headphone jacks, and they use cheap ide hard drives in case you want to expand your music collection. They also have Ethernet. Just add enough ram to turn off VM and don't try to multi-task. Several list members bought it specifically for use as an MP3 jukebox. I think I would sooner go with a hard drive based portable player. They cost around $200 for 6gigs. They are small and quiet. No fan noise. You can plug external computer speakers into the headphone jack. The downside would only be if you wanted to search for a particular song. The keyboard and screen come in handy for that.
