i was just thinking about hotline the other day, seems many of the sites are down. if you use the newer versions of hotline i'd strongly suggest blocking several sets of ip address, both to reduce ads and increase privacy. there are several back doors in the newer versions, i've previously found the older version, 1.2.3, often gives access to sites that simply ignore newer versions. there has been widespread stories that some of the hotline people are actively using the back doors to catch people who are stealing software, and some of my firewall logs suggest it may be true. of course i recommend adding the newer icons to the older version. be careful though, there are some bogus super versions that are worms or worse, especially if downloading directly from a sites upload directory.
having said that, i'll be looking for a new search engine for hotline or some good sites, i'd love to find mac manuals and testing utilities. -- Read this and endorse it: <http://www.indefenseoffreedom.org> read this and understand it so we can all be more secure, and not be victims of our own government: <http://www.counterpane.com/crypto-gram-0109a.html> i urge everyone to read and pass along this REAL security information, security is tricky and so is protecting liberties, they usually go hand in hand, they do not oppose each other. and these articles about what we really know: <http://www.janes.com/> -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
