Hi Bob. Well, it depends on how much money you spend I guess. I paid
$225 at the time when it was going for $300, so I was happy. I will
say that the Sonnet G3 400/1 has worked flawslessly from day 1 and
have been very happy with it. Definitely get the 1 mb cache. I had a
6360 and bought a 300/512 cache and regretted it. The 1 mb really
helps to improve the bus speeds. Kind of compensates for it.

Now, I added a motorola 466 card to my Beige G3 desktop which only
cost me under $200. My son was mainly using the Beige G3 Desktop, as
I was happy with my 7300 G3 400/1. I gave the Beige G3 some boast to
make Virtual PC perform better using Windows 98. Since then, he
decided he would rather be on the PC; we have (Pent II 266 Dell), so
I am selling the 7300. I've been using the Beige G3 466 now and can't
really say I notice all that much of a difference.

The 7300 is good machine. I'm not sure it would make much sense
getting something like the Beige g3 series to replace the 7300,
unless of course, you get a good deal. I will hang on to Beige G3 for
probably a good while and hopefully just jump to a G4 tower and skip
the B/W Towers.

So if you get a good deal on a G3 upgrade, go for it. You won't regret it.
