I recently purchased a 500 G3 newertech Zif. When I clocked the processor 83mhz
Bus/33pci/ 500 mhz
processor, it registered with Gauge Pro and XLR8 control panel as 500mhz.

When I clocked it down to 66/33/466, it still would register with both programs as
500mhz.

Now I sold that processor, and purchased a brand new Newertech 450mhz G4, and I
installed it, with
the same 66/33/466 settings on the motherboard, and it registers with both Gauge Pro
and XLR8 as a
300mhz G4

Anyone see this kind of thing happen before? Does anyone know why this is happening,
and how to
clock the cpu properly. I got the jumper settings that I am using from.

Thanks for the help.
