Assuming that you're not sitting there with a ton of cash, the logical first step would be adding more ram. Secondly, dump that 24x CD ROM, and replace it with maybe an Apple 32x from another G-series machine- you can find these on eBay, or poll the LEM Swap List. The 24x CD ROM's are notorious for failing, as well as being noisy from bad fit & finish. I know mine did. I'm not too versed on Apple bootable internal cdrw drives, maybe someone else here can coach you if you wanna do that instead. Next, there's a space reserved in that machine for an internal zip drive, if you desire. Beyond that, it's up in the air! Good luck with it :-) __C -- Chrys R.
