Question:
Would it be possible to feed your audio-out port back into your audio-in
port? Can anyone comment on the advisability of doing so (will it blow any
fuses, fry any circuitry or work?).

Software:
Try doing a search on www.download.com for audio/sound recorders. I once
used an app that'll record an AIFF (8 or 16 bit, mono or stereo) to disk (up
to the maximum HD space available) (Sound Hack).

It might be possible to use your audio-out port as an audio source for
recording software.
