WMV stands for Windows Media Video, a file format pushed by Microsoft for their Windows Media Player application. You'll probably need that to play that file. WMA is similar, with the A standing for audio. QuickTime 5.x is currently unable to play AVI files encoded with MS-MPEG4 containing MPEG/WMA audio. MPE, my guess is short for MPEG (although its more commonly abbreviated to MPG). QuickTime will most likely be able to play these files. -------------------------------------- Gino LV.
