definitely, the g4's had some power supply problems, i had to have mine replaced, it could also be a problem with the firewire ports and their power supply (i think they have their own small power supply to suit the requirements of fire wire that runs off the main power supply). in any case, get it fixed while it's under warranty! mine just lapsed, hopefully i've shaken all the bugs out! of course that means it's also time for me to try and reduce the fan noise.
